Career Readiness

Our goal is to prepare each student toward a meaningful future by ensuring equitable access to opportunities, high-quality programs, and advanced courses, and by supporting each child’s talents, dreams, and potential. Our district’s comprehensive college and career readiness curriculum guides students from kindergarten through high school graduation by providing multiple opportunities to explore their interests, skills, and passions thereby empowering them to set personal and academic goals toward an inspired future.

What is career readiness?

Career readiness is a process that informs individuals about career opportunities, helps them identify their talent, become aware of how their talent transfers into a wide range of occupational opportunities, and enables them to make effective decisions on the academic and post high school pathways that will enable them to pursue their career and life goals.

Xello’s award-winning program puts the student at the center of their planning experience. Students document their journey as they build self-knowledge, explore post-secondary options, create plans, and continually reassess as they take in new knowledge, skills, and experiences. The program is designed to engage students from kindergarten to graduation. Students are welcomed and encouraged to explore Xello on their own time.
