Military Service Academies

For students seeking a military environment alongside a top-tier education, the five U.S. service academies offer a unique opportunity.  Admission is highly competitive, and students should begin the application process early, ideally during their junior year of high school.

Admissions criteria include:

• Strong high school academic performance
• Standardized test scores (SAT or ACT)
• Participation in athletics and extracurricular activities
• Demonstrated leadership experience and community involvement
• A congressional letter of recommendation (not required for the U.S. Coast Guard Academy)
