Advanced Recognition

We are committed to designing and implementing programs that help students to achieve success for the future. We offer the Advanced Studies Recognition Program for students who wish to participate in a continuously rigorous, challenging academic program that will lead to formal recognition at the end of the senior year. 

Criteria:

The Clarkston Community Schools Advanced Studies Recognition is designed for students who wish to participate in a minimum of six rigorous, challenging academic courses based on our 5.0 grading scale during their time at Clarkston High School.  Eligible candidates will receive recognition at the end of their senior year.

Process:

It is the responsibility of students and parents to schedule the necessary courses in order to receive the advanced studies recognition.

Transcripts for all senior students will be reviewed during semester two of senior year. Names of all eligible students will be shared with the principal’s office in preparation for graduation and the commencement ceremony.

Curriculum Requirements:

Demonstrated academic ability with a minimum grade of  3.0 in any of the 6 courses listed below:
