From Principal Kaul
I am so happy for the opportunity to welcome our students and CHS families back for what I am sure will be an exciting 2021-2022 school year. I chose the word “exciting” carefully. I am excited to get back to school, not in the “I am going to jump from this tall cliff into Lake Superior” kind of exciting, but rather a “I know there will be some challenges, but we are ready and looking forward to this year” kind of exciting!
It would be an understatement to say that the last year and a half has been challenging. This has been obvious in most all aspects in each of our lives. At CHS, our staff worked harder than imaginable to provide personalized, rigorous, supported, and structured educational opportunities for our students. This has NOT been easy, but nothing worthwhile usually is. As the Principal of CHS, I am tremendously proud of our students and staff and endlessly appreciative of the support we have received from our parents and stakeholders. Thank you all.
We learned A LOT this past year, usually on the fly. We are confident that we will be able to take these lessons, our professional training, and experiences working in several different modalities, and continue to provide a top notch education to all of our students.
The Clarkston community is truly a special place to call home and CHS is an extension of our community. The support shown by our families and community members serve to inspire our staff, and for this we thank you. Partnering together, I am confident that we can continue to move forward to provide positive experiences for all students. Go Wolves!
Sincerely,
Gary L. Kaul
